  • When 224C is not operating, bus stops on route 224 service is within 500 metres of Veteran’s Park, and 1 kilometre of Paradise Park.
• Bowmanville lakeshore (Bowmanville Westside Marshes Conservation Area, Port Darlington East Beach Park).
  Served by On Demand: Bowmanville On Demand and Rural Clarington On Demand.
• City of Oshawa lakeshore (Lakefront Park West, Lakeview Park Beach and Pier, McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve).
  Served by route(s): 403, 407, and 901
• City of Pickering lakeshore east (Frenchman’s Bay East, Millennium Square, Beachfront Park, etc).
  Served by On Demand: Pickering South On Demand (use Route 101 during weekday peak periods).

In rural areas within Durham Region, we’ve made it easier to access conservation areas and trails using DRT On Demand. Numbered bus stops are located at select trailheads and park entrances; so you and your On Demand driver will know where to meet. New route 917Z gets you to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park on weekends and holidays, from 10:00 to 22:00 (21:00 on Sundays and holidays). Major stops and terminals served by Route 917Z include, Oshawa Centre Terminal, Whitby Station, Ajax Station, Pickering Parkway Terminal, and Kingston Road and Whites Road.
