Whitby, Ontario – On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will implement service changes to reflect the return to school and work following summer vacation, introduce scheduled service to some areas previously served by On Demand, and improve connections to GO Transit.
When: Changes to DRT service will take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Where: The transit network is being adjusted across Durham Region as follows:

101 | Monday to Friday - Routing will be modified to operate along Sandy Beach Road, between Alyssum Street and Parkham Crescent, instead of Lublin Avenue.

103 | Monday to Friday: - Midday trips will operate via Finch Avenue / Altona Road, replacing On Demand service to the Finch Avenue and Altona Road area.
- 103: Will operate between Pickering Parkway Terminal and Altona Road via Kingston Road
- 103A: Will operate between Pickering Parkway Terminal and Altona Road via Strouds Lane.

302 | Monday to Friday: - Southbound trip departing Anderson Road at 06:34 will now depart from North Campus Terminal at 06:22.
- New northbound trip to North Campus Terminal will depart Baldwin Street / Highway 407 Park and Ride at 05:55.

410 | Monday to Friday - New trips will depart from Oshawa Centre terminal at 23:10 and from Harmony Terminal at 23:47, 00:17, 00:47 and 01:17.

421 / 411 | Monday to Friday: - New 421 will operate between Courtice and Oshawa Station via Bloor Street during peak periods
- The 421 will replace the 411 during those times.

502 | Monday to Sunday - To improve reliability, service will operate via Green Road, Brookhill Boulevard, and Clarington Boulevard, and will no longer operate along Boswell Drive or Brookhill Boulevard, west of Green Road.

507 *New route* | Monday to Friday: - New 507 will provide peak service every 60 minutes between Orono, Newcastle and Bowmanville (King Street East and Simpson Avenue), replacing On Demand service.
- Connections to the 502 and 902 available in Bowmanville.

PULSE 901 | Monday to Friday: - 901C will operate every 15 minutes from 07:00 to 19:30.
- Combined with 901A, six trips per hour will operate on the busiest portion of the route, between Windfields Farm and downtown Oshawa (Gibb Street).

917 | Monday to Friday - A new trip will depart Pickering Parkway Terminal at 00:15 to Ajax Station.
Saturday and Sunday - Seasonal 917 service to the Toronto Zoo and Rouge National Urban Park ends.
- The 23:15 trip from Oshawa Centre Terminal will be extended to Ajax Station.
- A new trip will depart Pickering Parkway Terminal at 00:11 to Ajax Station.
- The 23:31 trip departing Whitby Station is cancelled.
- New trips will depart Ajax Station at 04:45 and 06:10 to Oshawa Centre Terminal.

920 | Monday to Friday - To improve reliability, routing in Scarborough will operate along Milner Avenue, between Morningside Avenue and Progress Avenue.
- Due to the upcoming closure of the Scarborough Rapid Transit line, westbound buses will drop off all customers at a new stop on Town Centre Court.
- Eastbound buses will pick up customers in the Scarborough Centre Station bus terminal, platform 1.
- Service will operate every 15 minutes, from 06:00 to 19:00.
- New late night eastbound departures from Scarborough Town Centre at 23:10 and 23:40, and new westbound departures from Harmony Terminal at 21:40 and 22:05.
